Frequently Asked Questions
How long has VideoGameChamps.com been in business?
No joke, we began operating our humble video game store on April 1st, 2023. Initially, we were exclusively online then expanded to a full retail location in December, 2024.
How many employees work at VideoGameChamps.com?
Currently, the entire operation is running off the back of one Australian man. Just kidding, I was born in Ohio. Every so often my wife or a family member might help out some.
How fast do you ship orders?
We ship the same day. Often times within a few minutes - depending on the order size and the time of day of course. Why so fast? Because we hate it when we order something online then the shipper sits on the order for a week before they get it in the mail. We believe that if we earned your business, you deserve your order literally shipped as fast as humanly possible. Not just a label created - but actually in the hands of the shipping carrier.
Do you clean your used products?
We obsessively clean our products one-by-one. There are some exceptions of course, but for the most part there isn't an item in the store that hasn't been torn apart, cleaned and put back together. Typically, the only exceptions are products that have a high likelihood of being broken or damaged simply by us taking them apart. If there is an exception, we will clearly label that in the item description.
Does VideoGameChamps.com have a physical location?
Yes, we opened our first store in December, 2024 in Gaffney, SC.
Do you sell bait?
Unfortunately, no we do not sell fishing bait, equipment or gear of any kind.
Do you repair consoles?
We repair only games and consoles that we sell in the store. We hope to offer that service in the future.
What games do you carry?
We are a used game store, so what games we have in stock at any given time is up to random chance, but normally we have games ranging from Game Boy through PlayStation 5. Each day we add new games, so check our website often!
Why don't you sell Pokémon or other TCG cards?
Honestly, because it isn't something that I grew up with and it's a totally different world to me. I love discussing cards with my customers in the store but I am totally clueless in that arena.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns on used items up to 30 days with receipt. Online orders also have 30 day returns. Items listed as "NEW" must be unopened. If opened, we can only exchange them for the same item or store credit in some situations. Items must also be in the same condition in which you bought them.
Is return shipping free?
The short answer is - it depends. We all hate shipping fees but they are a necessary part of online commerce. So to make it as fair and even as possible, if you pay for shipping to receive your items we'll cover shipping if you decide to return it. But, if we paid for shipping, then you are responsible for the return shipping charges. We will provide the shipping label, but the label cost will be deducted from your refund credit amount.
Do you sell Destiny themed cake decorations or printable cake patterns?
Unfortunately, we have yet to break into the cake decorating market. A day may come, but it is not this day.
What is your most favorite game of all time?
Final Fantasy VII.
What do "Type" and "Condition" mean under a game or product listing?
We want to make sure you know exactly what you are getting from us. So, "Type" refers to what is included with the product. Such as the original box, manual or just the game by itself.
The "Condition" refers to our best judgement on how close to perfect the game or product is.
Good condition means we think it looks great and has very minimal signs of wear from normal use.
Acceptable condition means the game or product seems to work fine but it has some cosmetic issues that we can't repair.
Poor condition means the game or product worked in our testing but looks absolutely terrible. We typically discount poor condition games quite a bit and do not generally accept returns on them. Typically, they are sold AS-IS.
Other "Type" or "Condition" codes may be used on a case by case, self-explanatory basis.
